the New 18
Woodington
Lake Golf Club officially launched the second and new
18 hole golf course late last year to the public, along
with receiving the highest rating in Canada by the Royal
Canadian Golf Association (RCGA) and receiving the best
bang for the buck, by the Toronto and Ontario Golf Magazine,
The New 18 holes at Woodington Lake as developed into
a wonderful test of wits, patience and skill.
Quality greens and fairways are a major highlight at the
new 18, everything from the impressive drainage system
that Mr. Harry Allard, owner and course architect incorporated
based on over fifty years of golf experience.
You
can expect a few downhill lies and some awkward shots,
but that's the sign of a good course - no two holes are
the same. There is as much risk as reward, Those that
are looking for a new challenge, the new 18 will test
all levels of golfers, plenty of room to scrabble back
from a long drive, the five separate tee blocks allow
golfer’s to work on their game at multiple levels.
As you would expect from the par of 72, there are a wide
variety of challenges, including long par fours, short-ish
par threes and par fives that will test your patience
to the limit.
Nestling
in rural hills in Tottenham its gentle undulations provide
golfers with a course that is a delight to the eye, while
still offering an honest and memorable challenge. Woodington
Lake is 45 minutes from the GTA, 25 minutes West on Hwy
9 off of Hwy 400.

Contest
information
1. The "Name
the New 18" contest is organized by Woodington Lake
Golf Club
2. The Grand Prize for the Winner of the Contest includes
a one year membership at WLGC, not redeemable for cash.
3. The Contest starts from August 13, 2008 to September
30, 2008, 24:00.
4. The Contest is intended to name the new 18 hole golf
course while promoting the awareness of the WLGC and to
foster interest in the new course.
5. Participation in the Contest is open to anyone 18 years
of age or over ("Participant") with the exception
of the persons referred to below.
6. Persons excluded from participation are: (a) employees
and directors of WLGC; and (b) Employees and anyone who
is involved directly with the operations and management
of WLGC; and (c) persons who are immediate family members
(i.e., parents, children, siblings, spouses) of, or reside
in the same household (whether related or not) as, any person
in either of the preceding categories.
7. Participation in the Contest is free. The costs for using
the Internet, an Internet connection or other costs for
the submission of the Entry are borne by the Participant.
8. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. THE CONTEST IS A GAME. BY SUBMITTING
AN ENTRY IN THE CONTEST, THE ENTRANT AGREES TO BE BOUND
BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND THE DECISIONS OF WLGC
AND THE CONTEST JUDGES.
